Stavanger Cathedral

After my tour of the weaving studio, I met cousin Bjorg and she gave me a walking tour of Old Stavanger. This area dates to the middle 1800's because the previously built wooden houses were destroyed by fires that swept through the area. We started at the Stavanger Cathedral, dating to 1125. It's the only Norwegian cathedral from the Middle Ages that has retained its original appearance and has been in continuous use. It has incredible wood carving inside, dating to the mid-17tg century.
