Old Stavanger

From the cathedral we went to see the charming little old houses that face the waterfront. These were the homes of the craftspeople that kept the port and herring business running. Now they are very expensive and protected by strict preservation rules. Even though it's fall, there were quite a few flowers still in bloom. They don't expect a very good fall foliage show this year, the summer was too cool and wet.

It was either raining or drizzling all afternoon, but that didn't slow us down. Bjorg is 81, but I mostly kept up with het.

Tomorrow we set out for Bergen.
