My Norwegian sweater(s)

Yesterday (Saturday) Jorunn and I went to the shopping district here in Stavanger, where I could get some postcard stamps and window shop in the expensive boutiques. From there we went to 2 Fretex's and one outdoor flea market. At the first Fretex I found a great Setesdal style sweater, but the sleeves were too long and the collar was frayed. Jorunn talked the saleswoman into a 66% reduction for the collar condition and I happily bought it, figuring I could shorten the sleeves. I also got a great deal on a carpet and a pillow with an interesting weave.

At the next Fretex I found a second Setesdal with the front opening with pewter clasps and woven braid sewn on. This one fits perfectly and was priced right, so I have 2 handknit sweaters to take (or wear, to save suitcase space??) home.

Last we went to an outdoor flea market, where I scored an old cash box for $1.50 (10€).

It was cold in the shady market, so we were happy that Thommas came to get us with the car.

After a quick stop for groceries (beer and Kleenex for me, the staples of life), we came home and I got to work altering my sweater. 24 hours later, it's almost done and ready for a wash before I can show off my "new" sweater. There were no blogs yesterday, too busy knitting!
